This book presents the perspectives of internally displaced children from the municipalities of Pikit and Carmen in Cotabato and Pagalungan in Maguindanao who experienced the 2000 and 2003 war between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. It looks into the children's coping strategies and factors in their family and community context that affect their responses. The author conducted the research in an environment where child rights programming was relatively alien to state and civil society actors operating in the region.
